The first Beirut guide to a home-grown puff

It is springtime, and it's never too early to plan. By now, you should have gathered a few dozen seeds from all the grass you've been puffing all winter. The best seeds to sow are the fat round dark ones that look like brown miniature eggs. Do not bother with the light seeds (white, greenish, light gray) which are not mature enough to germinate.

Once you have selected the seeds, place them in a plate on a wet cotton pad, a couple centimeters away from each other. Keep the plate in total darkness for around 10 days (the fresher the seeds, the quicker they sprout), while making sure the cotton is always moist.

Sheriff John Brown always hated me
For what?? I don't know!
Every time I plant a seed
He said, "Kill it before it grows"
He said, "Kill them before they grow"
